Our Story

Hi there !

Hayley here, owner, designer, customer service and pretty much all things Buckskin Horse Designs! If I’m not creating, you can find me on the back of a horse, nose in a book or spending time with my precious pups and family!

I’ve always had a passion for the western lifestyle and strive to create unique one of a kind pieces that embody the west.

I started this small business with one cowhide and one piece of embossed leather and through a lot of trial and error I began creating all the items you see on this website! Each item is completely handcrafted one at a time, ensuring a unique one of a kind piece.

Buckskin Horse Designs is named after my beloved buckskin mare “Riata”, and she is also the name behind the crossbody bag the “Riata”. A lot of my product names come from animals and pets that hold a special place in my heart!
